AVON Walk for Breast Cancer - Los Angeles 2003

That's me...a little tired but happy to be in camp - the event was the Avon Breast Cancer 3 Day in 2001. We walked from Santa Barbara to Malibu (more than 60 miles!!) over the course of three days.

In September 2003, I'll be joining thousands of other folks here in Los Angeles by taking part in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. This year is a bit different, as the walk is now a two day event. The cause however is no less important and the need is great.

One of the most exciting and motivating ways you can help is to join me and walk with the rest of us. Saturday will be 13 or 26 miles (you pick!) and Sunday is another 13. It's truly one of the most awe inspiring and incredible experiences you will ever be a part of.

If your feet aren't in for that kind of shock, consider donating and coming to be a spectator at the Pink Mile (the last mile of the event). It's always quite a spectacle, and just the boost we need!

The Los Angeles walk will be duplicated all over the country this year in cities like Atlanta and New York City, as well as Washington, D.C. and Chicago. Each person who participates in this event has a reason, all of us have a unique source of inspiration.

If you would like to be part of my support team, please click on the "Links" link there on the left side of this page. Here you'll find a link to take you to the donation site for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.

Every dollar which is donated to this cause helps us win this battle. Consider taking the dollars you would spend on your Starbucks or Coffee Bean purchases for the week and donate it instead. And for those of you looking for a very worthwhile donation for a nice little write-off, what better place than to this to shed a little excess green!

There are so many ways to help.

Thank you for your interest and your generosity. I hope to see you at the start and at the finish!
